- I don't know about a Mac modem cable, but it uses a miniDIN-8 to DB-25
- cable. Here's the pinout connections, with my numbering for the
- miniDIN-8, just in case my ordering is nonstandard (as it probably is):
-
- MiniDIN-8:
- 6 7 8
- 3 4 5
- 1 2
-
-
-
-
- DIN DB25
- 1 2 TxD
- 2 3 RxD
- 3 4 RTS
- 4 5 CTS
- 5 6 DSR
- 6 7 GND
- 7 8 DCD
- 8 20 DTR
-
-
- Another possibility is that the A2232 jumpers are not set properly.
- There are 4 jumper sets for each port, and they are used to swap TxD
- and RxD. For normal use, the jumpers should be set to:
-
- oooo oooo oooo oooo oooo oooo oooo
- II II II II II II II
- 0000 oooo oooo oooo oooo oooo oooo
-
- To swap TxD and RxD for one of the ports, switch the jumpers to the
- following:
-
- oooo
- I I
- oooo
-
